Sheepdog Trials & Membership
The Devon and Exmoor Sheepdog Society (DESS) is an organisation dedicated to promotion and organisation of sheepdogs trials in our region, with 150+ members. We run seven main open trials, two with restricted entry and alternate hosting the Devon vs. Cornwall match.

Click the link to download all entry forms for 2026. Brochures have been posted, but you’re welcome to become a member at any point. Please e-mail your entry form (or hand a paper copy to) trials secretary, Julie Tucker.
Running orders will be drawn for trials. We cannot accept any entries past the closing date. You may be asked to help with letting out, we appreciate volunteers on the day.
DESS enjoys a long history of supportive community and enthusiastic members.
