Sheepdog Trials & Membership
The Devon and Exmoor Sheepdog Society (DESS) is an organisation dedicated to promotion and organisation of sheepdogs trials in our region, with 150+ members. We run seven main open trials, two with restricted entry and alternate hosting the Devon vs. Cornwall match.
DESS enjoys a long history of supportive community and enthusiastic members.

Congratulations to the West Country Nursery Team
Philip Davies-Russell, Dave Cole, and Andrew Hendy travelled to Austwick for the 2025 English Nursery Finals, where they accomplished third place overall for the South West.
Congratulations as well to Philip Davies-Russell and Barrowsmead Esme, who achieved a Top 10 placement that takes them on to the Four Nations Final.
